#The Kifuliiru language

KEd Studio exists to write and publish Kifuliiru books. A blank book is titled Untitled Kifuliiru Book. The default cover language line is Kifuliiru • Kiswahili • Français • English. Packages often carry those four languages in languages and in data columns.

You can type freely on the page in any language. The studio does not lock the canvas to Kifuliiru — it is built so Kifuliiru can sit next to the other languages a reader needs.

#Lexicon autocomplete

When the editor finishes loading, the status bar can show how many Kifuliiru words are available. That list comes from the shared Kifuliiru Lab lexicon. The studio keeps a copy on this device and refreshes it when new words are published.

Suggestions appear at the end of the word you are typing — not in the middle of a token.

• ↑ ↓ — move through suggestions.
• Enter or Tab — accept the highlighted word.
• Esc — close the list. Enter then paginates as usual.

The shared table holds Kifuliiru words first. English, French, and Kiswahili glosses can be filled in later; the popup lists Kifuliiru forms so you can keep writing in the language.

#Multilingual covers

Cover copy includes title, subtitle, author, badge, language line, and publisher footer. Defaults credit Kifuliiru Lab and Wekify. If a package lists languages, Studio can fill the language line from that list (Kifuliiru, English, French, Kiswahili).

Card and table interiors can show one column per language. Hide columns you do not need from Design → Interior → Layout. See Design & covers.

#Generators and book types

Many books start in Kifuliiru data generators and arrive here as .ked.json. The package field source_app may say kifuliiru-data-generators. book_type tells Studio what kind of book it is so Look can suggest matching designs.

Families Studio recognizes include:

• Numbers
• Verbs and conjugation
• Sentences and phrases
• Reference (dictionary, lexicon, glossary)
• General (including a blank book)

Number books with up to 100 rows often open as cards; larger sets prefer a table. You can override that in Interior → Layout. A generator package can also include Intro, About, and Contact pages in English, French, Kiswahili, and Kifuliiru.

#Opening a generator book

Import the file, or open a link with ?handoff=. On the desktop app, a kedstudio: deep link does the same. Studio will not overwrite that incoming package with an older local draft. Details are in Books library and the format reference.
