#Bottom dock

Below a phone-width breakpoint the left and right columns leave the screen. A dock stays under the canvas with four items: File, Pages, Format, and Design. Each opens a sheet over the book. Tap the active item again (or the backdrop) to close.

The product header still has studio identity, theme, and the sign-in profile. File, export, and catalog live in the File sheet. Formatting tools move into the Format sheet so the page stays as wide as possible.

#The four sheets

• File — import, sample (when no package), export PDF / cover PNG, catalog links (Covers, Books, Titles, Docs), and Export KEd file when the desktop app is running. Same KEd / PDF / cover PNG actions as the computer header, stacked for a thumb. Import, sample, and the data inspector live here too. Sign in stays in the header profile.
• Pages — the page list, Book info, New page, and the Books switcher. See Pages and the canvas.
• Format — the compact format toolbar (styles, body font, bold, lists, insert). Text tools disable on the cover; body font stays available. See Typing and formatting.
• Design — Look, Cover, and Interior, the same three rooms as the desktop studio. Each opens the Design dialog on that section. Cover / Frame / Page / Type stay below as on-page properties. See Design & covers and Properties sidebar.

#Saving on a phone

The hosted web build does not put Export KEd file in the File sheet. Downloading .ked.json is reliable on a computer. The desktop app on a phone-sized window does expose Export KEd file in File.

Drafts still auto-save in this browser’s library. If you only have a phone, keep the tab, or mail yourself a file from a computer later. Do not treat mobile Safari data as a backup.

#The canvas

The page still paginates, still accepts Kifuliiru autocomplete, and still has a cover that is not a normal text field. Zoom may auto-fit more aggressively. Prefer a computer for long books, cover compose, and export — the phone editor is for reading, light typing, and checking a draft.
